Public beta policy summary
These operating policies explain how the Fantomu beta works. They are not a substitute for the final legal terms, which will be approved before live commerce is enabled.
Fantomu Verified items are received, inspected, warehoused, packed, and fulfilled by Fantomu. Community Seller items remain with the seller until purchase and are clearly labeled throughout the marketplace.
During public beta, buyer delivery and mailed-in intake are limited to the contiguous United States and Washington, D.C. Shipping is calculated from the validated address and selected carrier service without a marketplace markup.
Tracking starts after Fantomu buys the carrier label. Carrier scans drive the order timeline; delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.
Approved sellers may post lower-value games they physically possess using photos of the exact copy. Community listings require staff moderation, a private verified ship-from address, tracked platform postage, and an active payout account. They are not represented as Fantomu-inspected inventory.
After payment, the seller must package the exact photographed item, use Fantomu's prepaid label, retain the carrier receipt, and hand the parcel to the designated carrier within three business days. Seller-held and warehouse inventory may require separate checkouts because they ship from different origins.
Fantomu may cancel an unshipped or materially inaccurate order, refund the buyer, pause seller privileges, or recover resulting postage and refund costs as permitted by the final marketplace terms. Seller proceeds remain held until carrier-recorded delivery plus the applicable return window with no open return or dispute.
Eligible return requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days after carrier-recorded delivery. Returns are reviewed by item, so one line can be returned without returning the rest of an order.
For buyer-remorse returns, sealed items must remain unopened. After approval, the buyer must explicitly authorize the exact quoted return-label cost to be deducted from that return's refund before Fantomu purchases and releases the label. For damaged or materially not-as-described items, Fantomu pays return postage and refunds the affected item plus its allocated share of original outbound postage after review.
An open return or payment dispute pauses any related seller settlement. Refund timing after approval depends on the original payment provider.
Itemized estimates are valid for 14 days. Unitemized boxes receive an offer only after Fantomu receives and inspects the contents. Estimates are not final grading decisions.
Itemized batches estimated at $50 or more receive a free inbound label. For lower-value itemized batches, the label cost is disclosed and deducted from the payout. Box customers initially pay inbound postage and are reimbursed if the inspected batch value reaches $50.
An optional condition-photo report is prepared from warehouse photos after receipt, is visible only to the intake owner and Fantomu staff, and may add up to one business day. Inspection does not close until an opted-in report is ready. A reduced inspected buyout offer always requires customer approval. If declined, the customer may pay the return label at cost or explicitly authorize donation or recycling.
Consigned items are listed only after warehouse inspection. The seller receives 90% of merchandise revenue; Fantomu retains 10%. Shipping and tax are excluded from the seller share, and Fantomu absorbs payment-processing fees.
Pricing changes may pause for review when they exceed 25%, fall outside 0.7×–1.5× verified market value, or reliable market data is unavailable. Sellers may withdraw unsold inventory at any time and pay the return label at cost.
Settlement is eligible after carrier-recorded delivery plus the 14-day return window, provided no return or dispute is open. Failed releases remain pending for staff reconciliation and do not silently disappear.
Buyouts can be paid by PayPal, Cash App, check, or store credit after staff records the destination and payment reference. These are audited manual payouts during beta.
Choosing store credit adds a 5% bonus. Beta store credit does not expire and can be used against any marketplace inventory. Credit-funded refund amounts return to the credit ledger; card-funded amounts return to the original payment method.
